Hello Class 5 and 6, we just wanted to let you know that we miss you all lots and hope that we will get to see you soon. Until then, stay safe. Love from the Year 2 Team!

Home Learning Week Commencing: 13.07.20

Hello everyone,

It's the final week of term! We have been extremely proud of all of the hard work that you have done with your home learning, but we are looking forward to seeing everyone back in school in September.

We have put a few different activities up for you to try this week, or over the summer holidays, we hope you enjoy them.

Also, a big well done to Class 6 for winning the Year 2 Times Tables Rock Star battle this week. The final scores were as follows:

Class 5: 627 and Class 6: 1631

A special mention goes to Ava in Class 6 who has proved to be the most dedicated Times Tables Rock Star this term, fantastic work, well done.

Finally, we hope you all have fantastic summer holidays, we have loved teaching every single one of you and only wish we could have done it for longer. Whether you are going on holiday or staying at home, have a relaxing time and we look forward to seeing your smiley faces around school next year!

Take care,

Miss Franklin, Mrs Pearce, Mrs Wilson and Mrs Quinn laugh

UPDATE: In order to adhere to current school policies and guidance; please could we ask that the children don't bring in their transition booklets from home when they attend their transition sessions. Hopefully they will be able to complete the rest of the booklet following their session. We apologise for any confusion regarding this.

Many Thanks,

Year 2 Staff smiley

Your Year 2 Team

Hello everyone,

We hope you've had a good weekend. Thank you to everyone who sent in their learning from last week. We have looked at all of the results from the Superheroes challenge and so far it seems that 'invisibility' and 'being able to fly' are the most popular super powers! Keep sending in your bar charts as this might change!

This weeks activities are listed below, along with some instructions. There are also some transition activities to have a go at, including the next page of the booklet.

We hope you all have a good week, don't forget your sun cream, it looks like it's going to be warm!

Take care,

Your Year 2 Team smiley

Home Learning Week Commencing: 15.06.20

Hello again Year 2's!

The home learning for this week is all attached below, there is also an extra challenge this week. As we get ready for some transition visits into school to meet your new teacher, please could you complete the first page of the transition booklet? You do not need to send this anywhere but it would be really useful to bring to the transition sessions so that your new teacher can get to know you a little better.

We hope you all have a good week,

Missing you all,

The Year 2 Team smiley

HOME LEARNING WEEK COMMENCING 30.3.20

We hope that you are all safe and well at home. We will set work each week which we would like children to complete. If there are any questions, please email us at office@stannesprimaryschool.org.uk

Please email us any work to be looked at and we will give feedback where possible.

Be as creative as you like and complete the work in whichever way suits you - it could be in an exercise book, scrap book, pieces of paper, on a computer or photos taken of what has been created - whatever works for you. If you cannot print worksheets etc; don't worry - just do what you can. Perhaps you could take photos/scans of children's work and email to us?

We look forward to hearing from you.
