St Anne's CE VC Primary School Respect Responsibility Friendship Excellence

Welcome

Dear Parents and Carers,

On behalf of the staff and governors, I warmly welcome you to our school, St Anne’s C of E Primary, where I have the great pleasure of being the headteacher.

There is a special feel to St Anne’s that is noticeable from the moment you step through the gates. Children sit at the heart of all we do: we strive every day to make a difference to each and every member of the school’s community, giving the children the skills they need to be successful in life now and in the future. St Anne’s is a highly inclusive school that ensures high expectations and achievement for all. We aim to provide all our pupils with a friendly, supportive and calm learning environment that ensures they reach their full potential.

We have 14 classes across the school and outstanding facilities within our large school grounds, including an outdoor swimming pool, forest school, sensory garden, reflective garden, adventure playground, outdoor huts and an extensive grassed area. Alongside this we have a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Our caring and nurturing framework, supported by close links with the church, develops, encourages and celebrates each child. Our family ethos ensures that everyone in our community is valued and respected as an individual and equal.

We believe enjoyment should be valued as highly as achievement. Our school is a purposeful place underpinned by shared Christian values with a warm and friendly ethos.  Pupils are surrounded by a rich, engaging curriculum which instils a life-long love of learning. High quality teaching and the promotion of responsible behaviour prepares children for the future challenges they will face.  Through the development of curiosity and independence in an inclusive setting, our children are supported to achieve their personal best, whilst learning to love and respect each other.

We value highly the partnership between home and school and encourage all parents to take an active part in the education of their children. The school cannot work in isolation. Together we can work as a team to ensure your child’s best possible start to their educational journey.

I hope that you find this information useful but it can only give you a glimpse of our work. I am always happy to meet and speak with parents and carers and guarantee that a warm welcome will always await you.

Kind regards,

Claire Parfitt
